Facilities
Thrashers provides a fully accommodating venue for skateboarding, BMX, rollerblading, aggressive skating, inline hockey, roller derby and grass hockey. The skate park boasts many transition and street obtacles including ledges, stairs, a fun box, pyramid, two quarterpipes, death ramp, as well as a mini-ramp and the new manual pad ledge feature.
Thrashers is the perfect venue for birthday parties, private functions, photoshoots and much more - contact us today for availability and fees.
The 25m x 55m roller rink, furnished with Sports Court, is ideal for skaters, bladers and riders of all ages and skill levels. Thrashers is home to the Pretoria Capitals inline hockey club, and P-Town Roller Derby, who train on the court each week. Please get in touch with us to find out how you can get involved!
We have a kiosk with cold drinks and snacks for the slightly peckish, the new kitchen will be opening in August 2018!
About us
Click here for the video, dude!!Thrashers was built in 1996, making it the oldest skate park in South Africa. It has been home to many of South Africa's skateboarding legends past and present and has become an institution in the Pretoria skate/alternative scene.
Recently refurbished, we offer a thorough skating experience as well as the perfect venue for a day out with the whole family; where you are encouraged to ride, skate, chill, grab a bite, or just lay out on the grass - so bring your camping chairs and your choms, we look forward to welcoming you to our little slice of heaven!
We host competitions and live music events regularly - follow us to stay updated!
Skate Lessons
We offer skateboarding and rollerblading lessons on Saturdays from 09h30 to 10h30. Cost is R250 per lesson, this includes your entrance fee for the day. Please contact us to make your booking today!
